Whale Print Backpack by Thom Browne. Spring/summer ’13. Ideal for everyday use, the rucksack is crafted in Japan from a cotton blend fabric, is trimmed with leather and has a reinforced suede base. The main storage compartment is lined for durability, and there is an additional zip pocket on the front for storing smaller items. Finally, the adjustable straps are padded for comfort, and the bag is finished with a branded Thom Browne patch on the upper reverse.

Gingham Wool Backpack by Thom Browne. Spring/summer '13. Impeccably constructed from crisp wool, a look inside the bag reveals the contrasting lining and the neat French seams. Alongside the main storage compartment of the bag there is a flap front pocket, and both are kept secure by dual zippers trimmed with premium leather. Reinforced on the base for durability, the bag also features padded, adjustable straps for comfort, and is finished with a tri-stripe branded carry handle.

Exaggerated musculature, Frankenstein-like stature, metallic studs, safety pins or cowl covering the face...The rather SM silhouette is softened with the check and stripe prints as well as with the surprising use of a pale pink and a punchy green.

Sneak Preview of Thom Brownes Spring 2013 collection. Thom Browne send shoeless models dipped in silver paint into the garden of the Maison de la Chimie, where pedestals topped with sculptures of oversize silver brogues awaited them. Holding up the Lycra tubes by the tip of their thumb, they hobbled to their designated position, where — after stepping into the metal shoes — they dropped their casings to reveal colorful suits and shirts in clashing pastel madras plaids. The eyewear maintains Thom's design aesthetics, which are taken from the 40s, 50s and 60s with each frame branded in Thom’s tri-coloured signature of red, white and blue.
