Sharp was made for an art exhibition to accompany an artisanal dress with drawings carved into the material, creating a repetitive signature pattern. The precision of the artwork can be found in the essence of this scent, within the delicate layering of notes, which sharpen as the perfume is dissected. Sharp is a statement piece, an attention seeker - you will never go unnoticed whilst wearing it.

Ingredients: Orange blossom, angel skin, sweet vanilla, white musk, soothing softness.

Silk feels like a delicate fabric touching the skin. Drawing inspiration from original hand-drawn prints, it is a scent of timeless luxury, paying tribute to French fashion houses with a heritage of silk scarves. The idea of Silk is to enhance the feeling of wearing a perfume - its powdery, airy, earthy, leathery aura makes you imagine a silky smoothness caressing your neck.

Ingredients: Violet leaves, freesia, lime tree, linen, magnolia, Spanish cistus, earth (ground), papyrus, vanilla, amber.

Dark is heavily oxidized rose mixed with violets and leather. Its a take on the classic rose note, a bloody, flowery, leathery, seductive perfume with a purpose. The heavy metallic note in the scent brings an unexpected surprise while its animalistic and powdery side suggests certain comfort both reassuring and protective. Dark is a scent with a mind of its own, and it can take you to places you never dreamed of going. 

Andrea Maack's work centers on the idea of transforming visual experiences to olfactory ones; capturing the impression of graphical lines and shapes and expressing these as distinctive fragrances.

The perfumes of the Reykjavik-based fragrance house invite the audience to become part of Andrea Maack’s artwork and creative process. The five unique perfumes Smart, Craft, Sharp, Silk and Dark were initially created for museum exhibitions and are made from only the highest quality raw materials.

The founder and visual artist Andrea Maack will fly in from New York to present her work Saturday the 4th of February 2012 at Storm.
